Beginner Lampwork Classes
You will experience the thrill and excitement of making glass beads on a Nortel Minor burner torch. In this introductory class you will make number of beads using Effetre & Vetrofond (soft) glass and using a variety of traditional decorative techniques such as dots, stringer, plunging, pulling stringer, casing and flower beads. Materials such as commercial stringer and a variety of frits will be supplied to experiment with. There will also be information about safety, set-up and supplies. I supply the glass, torch and mandrels, you bring an open mind and a willingness to learn....
The classes are small with two participants per session and the teaching style balances demonstration with one-on-one attention. Throughout the workshop, students will be assisted with their individual needs to facilitate success.

Intermediate Lampwork Classes
Learn more advanced beadmaking techniques such as multi-layering, using foils and metals in beads, advanced cane work, pulling complex cane and making twisties, flame control, and shaping with brass presses.
The classes are small with two participants per session and the teaching style balances demonstration with one-on-one attention. Throughout the workshop, students will be assisted with their individual needs to facilitate success. All supplies included.
Fee: $195.00 (plus HST)
Time: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Private Instruction
Whatever you want to learn! The beginning basics or refine and polish your technique. This class will be one-on-one instruction and all about you.
Fee: $60.00/hour – minimum 2 hrs to a maximum of 4 hrs. (plus HST)
Viking Knit Bracelet Class
Explore Ancient Traditions in Viking chain making and learn to weave Viking Knit and make a beautiful bangle bracelet. In this three hour class you will learn the ancient art of knitting wire without needles using simple tools to create a one of a kind beaded Viking Knit bracelet. Finish this stunning piece some lampwork beads and a handmade clasp. This is a beginner class so no experience is necessary.

Fee: $145.00 (plus HST) - Includes all materials and use of tools.
Materials kit includes sterling silver wire, handmade lampwork beads, printed instructions and tools.
Duration: Three hour class.
Using handcrafted glass beads to create a cheerful bracelet and matching earrings, this class introduces students to the basics of wire working including cleaning and cutting wire, wire wrapping, making coiled wire bead cages, eye pins, earring hooks, working with jump rings, and making a clasp to link everything together.
Students will have a choice of various colours of lampwork beads to fashion their bracelet and earring set, with a sterling charm, and findings to complete the design. The set is made with sterling silver wire. Cost includes all supplies, silver wire and use of tools.
